The Enneagram is a nine point personality system used as a tool for working with personality structure and personal development. The system serves as a guide toward personal development by learning about your unique personality type's strengths, limitations, and developmental objectives. Studying the Enneagram type structure fosters deepening self-awareness of the individual’s mental, emotional and perceptual filters.
I completed the Enneagram Professional Training Program with The Narrative Enneagram in 2012. I use the Enneagram in my practice to help individuals identify their enneagram type, understand their type's strengths and weaknesses, bring awareness to habitual patterns that cause suffering, and help individuals to heal old wounds embedded in the enneagram type.
My colleagues and I recently published a study in the Journal of Adult Development on the Enneagram. Findings indicated that learning the Enneagram was associated with increased psychological growth, ego maturity, and ego development.
